Bank Run
Attention!!!! We will be running a monthly bus to area banks for residents who do not have cars or who want a ride to their bank. We will be going to UMB, Wells Fargo (Southwest Plaza), US Bank (Southwest Plaza), Bank of the West (Southwest Plaza), First Bank (Coal Mine), Chase (Coal Mine and Kipling). Because of today’s computer usage…you can bank at any branch. You do not have to be at the branch you opened your account with. So, make plans to use our service to get you to the bank! Please call the Concierge at the front desk to be put on the list.

Around the World
Come all you trivia buffs and travelers out there!!! This is great fun and a wonderful way to meet your neighbors! You will be grouped with some of your neighbors (different every time) and asked geography-related trivia questions. Points are accumulated within the different groups through the year and twice a year the points are added up and whoever has the most points receives a paid Concordia activity of his choice. Please come and have loads of fun while you are learning about the world around you!

Pilates
This class is for all who want to be healthy and work on your flexibility and strength! Gisela from Ascent Physical Therapy will be teaching this beneficial class which will include core strengthening and flexibility exercises for those with arthritis or osteoarthritis. She will help anyone with tips on how to help your bones and joints age gracefully while you exercise.

Be sure not to miss this interesting and informative tour of the second busiest commuter airport in the nation (second only to Van Nuys California). This airport, nestled 20 miles east of Concordia houses a flight school, rental planes, many larger freight and commuter airlines and much more! This is a very interesting tour not to be missed! Afterward, we will go to the Perfect Landing restaurant right at the airport. This restaurant has a varied menu and we will be able to look out on the runways and watch planes land and take off. **Please be advised that there is a set of 15 stairs up to the 2nd floor where the restaurant is with NO ELEVATOR. “The Enchanted Island” Met Performance
Let’s try this again! Hopefully the snow stays away for this event. We will be attending the Metropolitan Opera’s Encore performance of a brand new opera “The Enchanted Island”. This opera includes famous arias from Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau and others. The story is a mixture of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Tempest. Willow Creek Elementary Volunteers
We have a great group of seniors who are wonderful influences on the first graders at Willow Creek. The students learn from us and we learn from them-it is truly a two-sided relationship with many extra perks coming from the hugs from the students! At any time you will find us reading books, helping with writing assignments, figuring out math equations, doing art projects and many more interesting and challenging activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please give Risa a call at 303-933-3449. Afterward, we are usually spent and hungry and head to an area restaurant for lunch. White Elephant Auction
I’ve heard we have some former Garage Salers and Auction House frequenters here at Concordia! Great!!! We will bring the Garage Sale/Auction right here. If you are interested in donating things to be sold, Risa will be taking them starting Monday, February 27th through Wednesday, February 29th at 1pm. We will display the items in the Event Center starting at 3:00pm and the auction will start at 3:30pm. As we have done in the past, the proceeds will go to the ALS Foundation in hopes to help with the fight for the cure for ALS.
